The artistic organization Cultural Element continues its mission of promoting and presenting Serbian culture abroad.
Two days ago, at the Serbian Cultural Center in Beijing, China, a concert performance of Letters of the Executed was held, directed by Professor Tadija Miletić from theBelgrade Dance Institute, with the participation of our professor Ana Spremić.
In this war-themed performance, where the audience encounters the last farewell letters of patriots who tragically lost their lives during World War II, Nikola Štrbac performs as a prisoner, and our professor Ana Spremić also performs alongside her colleague Dina Miletić, playing the roles of prisoners and musical performers. In addition to them, Branko Živković performs as a German officer, with artistic collaboration from Dejan Stojanović. Through modern interpretation and 3D mapping of the camp room, the performance successfully presented to the full audience of the Cultural Center the tragic fates of people who, in their final moments, addressed their loved ones – father, mother, son – with farewells and last messages.
During this visit, the Cultural Element delegation also officially visited the National Museum of China and the famous Forbidden City.
The project was realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
