WORLD THEATER DAY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH CELEBRATED

 

 

With the support of students from the Belgrade Dance Institute and the Youth Ballet Company, on Sunday, March 20th, the Duško Radović Small Theater marked the World Theater Day for Children and Youth.

 

Exactly at noon in a parade through Knez Mihailova Street in Belgrade, led by the director of that theater, Prof. Aleksandar Nikolić, students who carried dolls, and a large model of a paper boat on wheels from the beginning of Knez Mihailova near Kalemegdan Park to Republic Square and back.

 

The festive walk was accompanied by the release of a song by Dragan Laković and the Kolibri choir, Toast, whose verses Everything that grows would like to grow, stood on an inscription that decorated the ship, with several hanging dolls. The procession stopped briefly in front of the SANU building, where actor Goran Balančević performed puppet miniatures for the gathered children and parents.

 

The ceremonial parade was attended by Milica Bezmarević, pedagogue of classical ballet and Prof. Aleksandar Ilic.
