THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL SOLO FESTIVAL CONCLUDED
The Third International Solo Festival (Choreography, Performance, Photography) organized by the Belgrade Dance Institute concluded last night with the performance of Peto godišnje doba (The fifth season) and Dnevnik Huligana (The Hooligan diary) by Olga Pango and Vasil Zafirchev at the Student Cultural Center in Belgrade.
This year’s festival was inaugurated on May 26th at UK Parobrod with an exhibition of photographs titled Alone by Croatian artist Miro Martinić, featuring performances and choreographies by Serbian artists Miona Petrović Carpe Diem and Nina Pantović In the Meadow of the Valley.
On Saturday, May 27th, on the plateau in front of the Belgrade Cultural Center, Olivier Meyrou and Matias Pilet from France performed the choreography for children La Fuite at 12:00 p.m. Later that day, at 7:00 p.m., Simon Mayer, an artist from Austria, performed his solo piece SunBengSitting at the Madlenianum Opera and Theatre.
At the Artget Gallery of the Belgrade Cultural Center on Sunday 28th, starting at 5:00 p.m., Matea Bilosnić from Croatia performed the piece Kata Strofa. In the premises of the Cultural Center Grad, the Hungarian duo of artists Boglárka Börcsök and Andreas Bolm presented the performance Figuring Age in two sessions.
The festival was supported by the City of Belgrade, the Ministry of Culture, the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists (EFFEA), co-financed by the European Union, the Austrian Cultural Forum, the French Institute in Belgrade, the International Platform Tetroskop, the Hungarian Cultural Center in Belgrade, the Institution of Culture Parobrod, the Madlenianum Opera and Theatre, the Belgrade Cultural Center, the Cultural Center Grad, the Student Cultural Center, Domino Productions, Ćevabdžinica Savčić, the Belgrade Dance Institute, and the School of Engineering Management.
All programs of the Solo Festival were free of charge.
