SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE OF OPERA VLADIMIR AND KOSAR
The world premiere of the opera Vladimir and Kosar by composer and librettist Stevan Divjaković was performed on the Grand Stage of the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, starting at 8:22 p.m.
The main protagonists Stevan Karanac in the role of Vladimir, Darija Olajoš Čizmić in the role of Kosara, Vasa Stajkić in the role of Samuil, Branislav Stankov in the role of Vladislav, Nikola Basta in the role of Radovan, Maja Andrić as Mara, the entire choir, ballet and orchestra led by standing ovations maestro Diana Chobanova.
The oneiric direction and scenography of Aleksandar Nikolić tensely led the audience through the world of dreams, nightmares and visions. Virtuoso choreography by Aleksandar Ilić, opulent costume design by Senka Ranosavljević, exceptional creation by Marko Radanović contributed to the first performance of a masterpiece by Stevan Divjaković whose opera is a great historical and philosophical fresco in Shakespeare’s manner of revenge, power struggle, jealousy, sacrifice and love.
The next performances of this opera are scheduled for March 29th, and in April you can see the play in the repertoire on April 9th and 27th.
