𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐙𝐀𝐊 is the third performance of the artistic family Stjepanović, which is performed within the project ‘𝐎𝐍𝐄. 𝐈𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐯𝐨𝐠 𝐯𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧a‘, dedicated to significant Serbian female artists.
The performance ‘Transition’ continues the exploration of deep, personal and cultural connections through a combination of visual and auditory expression, exploring the lasting connections between past and present artists.
In this performance, Snežana Arnautović Stjepanović, Ivica Stjepanović and Teodor Stjepanović, through a synesthetic approach, explore the transposition of sound and image, posing the question of art as a means of reflection and connection – how the silent past of art meets the living present moment.
This performance brings deep symbolism, exploring the idea of art as a bridge between generations, cultures and creative expressions. As in the previous researches of the Stjepanović family, the questioning of heritage and personal reflection, but also of art as a medium through which the boundaries of time are erased, is central here.
In this performance, the artists not only recognize the forgotten artistic voices of Serbian cultural heritage, but transfer them to the present through authentic and transformative expressions, inviting the audience to a deeper recognition of their ties to art and tradition. The transition thus becomes an invitation to introspection, to understanding past creators who shaped contemporary art, but also to confronting one’s own place in the network of artistic heritage and spiritual connection.
