The famous Belgian theater director Jan Fabre yesterday presented his book From Act to Acting: Jan Fabre’s Guidelines for the Performer of the 21st Century, and then he was awarded the Special Recognition.
The book was written by authors Jan Fabre and Luk Van den Dries, and it was translated into Serbian by Prof. Jelena Ilić.
The ceremony was preceded by a performance by actor Slobodan Beštić, followed by addresses to the audience by Dean Prof. Dr. Vladimir Tomašević, Vice-Dean Prof. Dr. Snežana Arnautović Stjepanović, Prof. Jelena Ilić, and the author. Actress from DAH Theater and doctoral student Ivana Milenović Popović read the world message for World Theatre Day.
The event took place in the ceremonial hall of the Belgrade Dance Institute, which is also the publisher of this book, all on the eve of World Theatre Day.
