BETWEEN THE BEATS

The dance performance “Between the Beats” produced by DDT Creative Center for Movement was performed last night in the large hall of the Student Cultural Center.

Between the Beats is a dance project focused on interrogating the pause that asks – what is the rhythm you want in and around you?

Since 2002, DDT Creative Center for Movement has been working on the promotion of dance and artistic movement through production and education. It was started by Dragana Stanisavljević, Dubrabka Subotić and Tijana Malek.

During 21 years of work, DDT created over 20 dance productions that were performed in the country and abroad. As part of the DDT WORKSHOP program since 2004, we have hosted 12 international choreographers and pedagogues.

With the Between Beats project, DDT achieves international and intersectoral cooperation with dance artists, psychologists and pedagogues. The goal of the program is to put PAUSE in the center of attention and its necessity for the benefit of the group and the individual.

Between the beats, he stages a choreographic response to the topic of why we need a break. Educators (from the fields of art, language, literature, social sciences) from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Finland and America participated in the process of creating the material.
