OUR STUDENTS IN THE FESTIVALS OF THE REGION 

Students of the Belgrade Dance Institute will be performing at numerous festivals in the region this summer, too.

Dance-theatre festival Purgatories starts on the Summer Stage of Tivat on 14 July, where a large number of dance productions from Serbia and the region will present themselves this year, as well.  

On the first day of the festival, the latest production of the Balkan Dance Project platform Run to dance, you all, choreographed by Igor Kirov, will be performed by our students Jakša Filipovac and Mojca Majcen.  

On the second day of the festival, a dance performance Grand Hotel of the Madlenianum Opera Theater will be performed. Prof. Aleksandar Ilić is the choreographer, prof. Aleksandar Nikolić is the director, and the performers are our students Jakša Filipovac and Mojca Majcen, and our professor Ognjen Vučinić.

On Saturday, 17 July, Sanja Ninković’s choreography One will be performed by our student Jakša Filipovac, and Konstanca Makras’s dance play Towns not existing any more presented by Bitef Dance Company will be performed by our students Miona Petrović and Jakša Filipovac on Wednesday, 21 July.

On 22 July the choreography A part of me and I created by our student Sandra Milošević and performed by our student Jovana Grujić will be presented within the 10th dance festival in Šibenik.

From 26 to 31 July our student Tamara Ljesar will be representing the Belgrade Dance Institute in the Ethno Camp organised by Academic Society for Music Cherishing “Gusle” in Kikinda.

On 23 July Dance and non-verbal theatre festival San Vincenti in Svetvinčenat will be opened by the dance play Space for Revolution in which our students Miona Petrović, Vladimir Čubrilo and Nikola Živković take part.

On 24 July within the Ohrid Summer Festival the production of the Balkan Dance Project platform, the dance show Run to dance, you all, choreographed by Igor Kirov, will be performed by our students Jakša Filipovac and Mojca Majcen.  

Ethno Camp in the town of Kolašin in Montenegro, which is organised by the Centre for Preserving and Revitalization of Traditional Dances and Songs and Cultural and Artistic Company Mijat Mašković, is taking place from 1 to 8 August, and our student Tamara Ljesar, who was awarded with Zlatni raskovnik, is its regular attendant since its establishment.
