SOLO FESTIVAL OPENED
Last night, in the National Museum of Serbia, the Dean Prof. dr. Vladimir Tomašević has opened the second edition of the Solo Festival, organized by the Belgrade Dance Institute. In addition to the Dean, the audience was addressed by Catherine Faudry from the French Institute in Belgrade and Ruben Van Opstaele, Deputy Ambassador of Belgium.
Cassiel Gaube from Belgium and Barbara Matijević from France performed their solos in the atrium of the National Museum of Serbia.
The second day of the festival will be held today, May 28th, in Novi Sad, in the space of the Cultural Station Barka, where Soraya Emery and Desi Bonato from Austria will present their solo performances to the audience.
The third day of the festival is being held at two locations in Belgrade, in the Belgrade Cultural Center on Cvetni trg, by Joana Knežević from Serbia, entitled Not Your Barbie, and the closing ceremony will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade with two solo works by Rita Gobi from Hungary and Guilhem Chatir from Belgium.
This year’s event, which brings together artists from Hungary, Israel, Croatia, France, Austria and Serbia, was supported by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, the National Museum in Belgrade, Cultural Station Barka in Novi Sad, Belgrade Cultural Center, Hungarian Cultural Center, Embassy Israel, the French Institute, the International Teatroscope Platform, the Austrian Cultural Forum, the Embassy of Belgium and the School of Engineering Management.
