PREMIERE OF THE DANCE PERFORMANCE SARA-JE-VO
Miona Petrović, Mojca Majcen and Ognjen Vučinić performed for the first time in the SARA-JE-VO of Balkan Dance Project choreography by Edhem Jesenković as part of the MESS Festival.
The piece was performed on October 5th in the production of the Association Živimo Ballet and the Balkan Dance Project on the stage of the Youth Theater in Sarajevo.
This is a harsh and grotesque but sensitive story about our spaces, breaking the rules and stubbornness. Performed by dancers with strong personalities (Ognjen Vučinić Croatia, Miona Petrović Serbia, Luka Ostrež and Mojca Majcen Slovenia, Ana Kuzmanović and Emir Fejzić Bosnia and Herzegovina) specially selected for the Balkan Dance Project 2022, to music performed by Basheskia (Leonardo Šarić and Nedim Zlatar) .
Living space is a tool where you keep yourself, your identity and privacy. And that space also refers to the feeling of the interior space and contains personal memories, familiar smells, tastes, objects and a recognizable feeling of home. It is a territory that sustains your existence, contains your own beliefs and a place where you gather strength and love, says choreographer Edhem Jesenkovic.
The scenography inspired by the traditional Bosnian stone Stećka is signed by Adis Fejzić, and the executive producer of the play is Nataša Hajdarević.
