GALA CONCERT OF YOUTH BALLET
On the stage of Theater Vuk, on Wednesday, April 19th, starting at 8 pm, the Youth Ballet will perform the traditional Gala Concert of members of this company. Within the program designed and prepared by the professors of the Belgrade Dance Institute, Milica Bezmarević and Doc. Mila Stijak, with the assistance of Jovica Begojev, the ballet soloist of the National Theatre and lecturer of Duets Dance, and with the help of the company’s piano accompanist, Prof. Ana Spremić, the audience will have the opportunity to see excerpts from some of the most famous classical ballets, rarely or for the first time performed in our country.
The program includes variations and excerpts from ballets such as: Pharaoh’s Daughter by Cesare Pugni, La Bayadère by Ludwig Minkus, Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus, The Humpbacked Horse by Rodion Shchedrin, Esmeralda by Cesare Pugni, Raymonda by Aleksandr Glazunov, and other pearls of classical ballet.
Over twenty members of the Youth Ballet Company, who are regular students of the elementary and high ballet school, are participating in the Gala Concert: Tea Manojlović, Andrijana Marin, Manja Marković, Lana Prodanović, Lara Vuković, Dunja Stamenković, Ana Teslić, Dea Medaković, Mila Jović, Anastasija Vujnović, Anastasija Nikčević, Nikolina Savković, Nađa Nedović, Filip Stanić, Sonja Bošković, Ana Đeković, Ana Svorcan, Jana Đorđević, Emma Keyes, Natalija Arsenović, and Stefan Nikolić, as well as second-year students of the Belgrade Dance Institute: Una Stepanović and Vladimir Sekulić.
The Youth Ballet Company was founded in 2019 within the Belgrade Dance Institute with the aim of educating and promoting students of elementary and high schools in Belgrade and Serbia. The company is led by the first soloist of the ballet of the National Theater, Milica Bezmarević, Mila Stijak, and Ana Spremić, professors of the Belgrade Dance Institute in collaboration with guest pedagogues of that institution.
