PROMOTION OF THE VERSE COLLECTION DREAM THE DREAMS IN SARAJEVO

Professor Aleksandar Ilić promoted his book of verse collection titled Dream the Dreams in Sarajevo in the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the 1st October at 7 p.m.

This book was presented by Šejla Šehabović, the director of the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nataša Hajdarević, a promotion organiser in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the author Aleksandar Ilić, and the event was also enriched by the artistic performance of the ballerina Zulejha Kečo who is a member of the ballet ensemble of the National Theatre in Sarajevo and of the international platform Balkan Dance Project.

The collection Dream the Dreams (2020) was published by the Fabula Nostra Centre and it was promoted in the Belgrade City Library in June of the current year. It was edited and reviewed by Teodora Sujić, a world-literature theorist and historian, and comprises untitled verses divided into three thematic parts which are Dreams, Love, and Nostalgia, and the poet opens the book with the following message, ,,it was enough to create a tiny verse so that the cosmos would embrace it”.

Book editor Teodora Sujić says: “While reading these verses countless times, their every letter and every stop, by listening to the melody out loud, I had the impression that those poems were written to me.” According to her words, every reader must find a poem that is written only for them when holding this book in front of their eyes.

This promotion was attended by well-known artists from Sarajevo, such as Božo Vrećo, a singer, Edina Papo, a choreographer and the director of the Ballet Fest Sarajevo, Zoran Lašić, a photographer and multimedia artist, Mirjana Blažević Lešić, a playwright, Aida Čorbadžić, the champion of the National Theatre Opera in Sarajevo, and others.
