PREMIERE OF GRADUATE CONCERT KULTURA!
On Saturday, July 9th, the graduation concert KULTURA! by student of the Belgrade Dance Institute, at the Department of Stage Folk Dance and Music, Nevena Antić premiered at the Una Saga Serbica premises, and was sent off with a standing ovation.
At the concert, Nevena’s works from the subject of Choreographic Composition will be presented, such as Pošla Rumena’s divertissement (a mix of processed dance patterns based on dance motifs from Pirotsko Polje), the love duet Laska inspired by Slovak folk dances and melodies, the quadrille choreographic form Adurmite mndra, a humorous adaptation of a fairy tale The Brothers Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty, based on Vlach dances from Bor and its surroundings, the stage adaptation of the Ide Božić Koledo tradition – a carol procession in Leskovačka Morava and the humorous chamber sequence Mustaći. In addition to various choreographic forms, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional songs from Bosnian Krajina, Prizrenska Gora and from Kosovo and Metohija and in special arrangements by Nevena’s professor Ana Babić, and a block of songs will be dedicated and performed in her honor. The mentors of Nevena Antić’s work are professor Dr. Anton Andonov and professor Dr. Vesna Bajić Stojiljković.
