International award for the project by DAH Theatre
Independent theatre troup and artistic company DAH Theatre was awarded the Austrian prize for their project „Dancing Trees“.
This new project by the DAH Theatre called „Dancing Trees“ is one of the five international projects awarded by the Austrian public radio Oe1, which is a part of the Austrian Broadcasting Coorporation ORF; the project was awarded within the initiative Fixing the Future – Casting New Ideas. In a competition between 43 projects from 20 countries, DAH Theatre is one of the awarded for the most innovative idea for changes and “fixing the future now”.
Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs invited DAH Theatre to come to Austria to the Innovation Festival called Market of the Future, where they should present their work.
Innovation Festival is held on 2nd and 3rd October 2021 during the weekend, in Graz, Austria.
The project consists of the play “Dancing Trees”, a talk with the audience after the play, and round-table discussions about climate changes and the protection of trees to which experts, activists and artists are invited, as well as of the digital platform which should connect artists, activists, and citizens.
In the year of the jubilee marking 30 years of its existence, DAH Theatre announces a performance of their new play called “Dancing Trees” on 30th and 31st October, and 1st November 2021 at 8 p.m. in the Belgrade Students’ Park.
The play is supported by the ITAC – Climate Impact, Austrian Embassy in Belgrade – Culture and Development Grant, the City of Belgrade – Secretariat for Culture, in cooperation with the Belgrade Dance Institute.
