Contemporary Dance
Contemporary Dance Department gives to the students the opportunity to accomplish independent artistic work in the field of artistic dance by adopting and combining different dancing techniques, practices and approaches, and it also teaches the students how to critically and self-critically think about and approach to contemporary arts in the field of performing arts.
This curriculum implies adopting knowledge through practical, theoretical and methodological approaches to the techniques of contemporary dance which support individuality of dancers depending on their individual level of the contemporary-dance-technique mastery, the introduction to the choreography basics, as well as the analysis and critical observation of both their own work and the work of their colleagues.
After the completion of contemporary-dance undergraduate studies, the students are capable of applying the acquired knowledge through their work in professional companies, theatre and other dance institutions.
